Overview

ISO/IEC 14543-3-2:2006 is an international standard for Home Electronic Systems (HES) architecture, defining the media‑independent communication requirements for the data link, network and transport layers used in HES Class 1 network‑based control. It specifies services, protocol data units and state machines that form a consistent, interoperable communication stack for smart‑home and home automation systems, independent of physical media (powerline, twisted pair, RF).
