ISO 13969:2003 (IDF 183:2003) provides guidance for a standardized description of microbial inhibitor tests used on milk and milk products. Its primary aim is to establish a consistent framework for the evaluation and validation of microbial inhibitor screening methods so that data from different tests and studies can be compared reliably. The standard is a joint ISO/IDF publication prepared in collaboration with AOAC International and is intended for test developers, manufacturers, testing laboratories and regulators in the dairy sector.
