Abstract

This draft for development (DD) 243 gives recommendations for the design, installation and configuration of intruder alarm systems (IASs) that incorporate alarm confirmation technology, where such IASs have signaling systems that signal to an alarm receiving centre (ARC) and require a police response. DD 243 also includes recommendations intended to minimize the likelihood of false alarms.
