BS IEC 62706 discusses radiation protection instrumentation. BS IEC 62706 is an international standard on performance requirements and tests to enhance the performance of the radiation protection instrument. BS IEC 62706 recommends the climatic, mechanical, and electromagnetic performance requirements and methods of test for radiation protection instrumentation. BS IEC 62706 also guides the setup of test equipment and instruments under test (IUT) for certain tests. The objective of BS IEC 62706 is to define, for design and test purposes, the environments in which radiation protection instrumentation may be exposed.
